"When you're choosing the size of your ceiling fan, make sure you're getting the best size for your space. Too big or too small can make a difference for the overall efficiency and looks. The right size ceiling fan always takes cool to another dimension."

How to shop the right size fan.

For comfort and efficiency, choose a fan that fits your room size: too small and it won't circulate air properly, too large and it could overwhelm the space. Here are a few guidelines to help you choose the ideal fan for any size room:

Small Rooms

If your room is up to 10' x 10' (100 + sq. ft.) you need a fan size of 34” to 48.”

Large Rooms

If your room is up to 20' x 20' (400 + sq. ft.) you need a fan size of 50” to 54.”

Great Rooms

If your room is over 20' x 20' (400 + sq. ft.) you need a fan size of 56" or larger.
