National Account Sales Manager – Lowe’s

Develop and implement effective strategies for product sales across all product categories to Lowes North American operations with emphasis on US stores, ecommerce, and Pro. Sets account strategy in line with corporate direction and aligns internal resources to achieve goals. Manages account relationships and responsible top line goals and bottom line profitability objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Broadly develops and implements an accounts strategy for the Hunter Fan Co. Works cross functionally internally to communicate and implement this strategy.
  • Responsible for key customer national and regional sales programs both online and in-store, targeted to driving product selection and placement of the Hunter branded products.
  • Drives business to reach assigned quota for each customer segment responsibility.
  • Drive growth thru deep understanding of the Pro business structure, goals, and key personnel.
  • Travels extensively throughout the territory to call on key influencers such as district and regional vice presidents.
  • Analyzes current programs and product trends in the marketplace and helps provide critical input into the design of new strategies, programs and products across all categories.
  • Works with Marketing to suggest customer specific or marketplace product development opportunities and coordinates accordingly on all aspects of the Stage Gate process.
  • Gains an in-depth knowledge of our products and conduct customer presentations, trade show displays or key product demonstrations, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for order obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedule.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
  • Responsible for managing the SOP process for all account responsibilities.
  • Coordinates customer training and development of such.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing and support function contacts
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Attends and manages customer trade shows as needed.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • BA or BS required. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5-years professional sales or marketing experience preferred.
  • Must have proven experience calling on large national accounts with emphasis on the home improvement industry.

Special qualifications or skills

  • Extremely detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • Experience and above average presentation, mathematics, and negotiation abilities
  • The incumbent should possess an aggressive approach to all stages of follow-up with customers
  • Strong administrative skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Working and intuitive knowledge of computers with exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness to travel 50% with some weekend work required
  • Ability to work within a set expense budget
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working on a ladder at heights of 15’ to 20’
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electricity
