    Don't Waste Your Money!

POC does NOT work! Had the unit less than 3 months - worked well for the A/C (summer) but for the winter, heating unit will not shut off after reaching desired temperature. Once unit heats house to set temp, the furnace will continue, cycling cool air now, and won't shut off. If left uncheck, furnace would stay on forever! Have to use circuit breakers in garage to manually shut furnace off. Called support for a refund . . . definitly going with another brand.

Worked good for heat, NOT so good for AC

I got one the these last November. All heating season it worked well mostly. Every now and then it would loose it's programing. Now things have not been working so well this cooling season. When it cools to the desired temp. it'll shut the fan off, but some times after a few minutes it'll turn the fan back on with out the ac. It'll let the fan run like that for hours. I will end up having to replace it before it's even a year old.

    Buyer Beware - Sleep Mode

I'm very disappointed to find out that the 44377 Hunter Thermostat really isn't programmable like it's advertised. I purposefully bought this unit because I wanted a 7-day programmable unit, specifically the "Sleep" mode to be in effect from 2AM to 8AM. After buying this, and after speaking with 3 technical support reps (2 of which just wanted to argue with me and had very poor customer service skills), I learned that for this unit's scheduling feature to work, the Sleep mode must begin in a PM time and end in an AM time. I'm still dumbfounded as to why it's setup this way, and I'm currently deciding whether to return the item and purchase a Honeywell brand thermostat. I had a bad experience with Hunter

    Easy to Install

I bought a new 5 minute Thermostat over the weekend and installed on my own. I do not have any mechanical or electrical skills and still it was a piece of cake to install.
