Had multiple defects, 5 Minute install is not realistic

The display has no back lighting. I assume it has to have back lighting or you could only use it during the day. Trouble shooting mentions a weak battery as the problem. Instruction do not mention back lighting. at all. The filter reminder is not defined how you change the number of hours. I only see some strange character when I attempt to set it. If I remove the battery there is no indication that the battery is low (It is missing). Changing the temperature is harder then it needs to be (press the large button to enter the menu, press the or - multiple times, press the enter button.

    Easy hook up, accurate running.

EASY hook up. Runs Heat, A/C, just fan. It takes a battery - but in the year and 1/2 I have had this it has not been changed & still runs with accuracy!

Just what I wanted in a thermostat

I ordered this simple thermostat from Lowe's and absolutely love it. It only did take 5 to 10 minutes to connect it. My friend, another lady, put this in for me but I think I could have done it myself. Large enough to be easy to read and change temperature. My daughter had a Hunter thermostat and was more complex but still simple. I did remove a thermostat that was less than 1 year old that was always shutting my system down.

    Falls off wall

Too bad this unit doesn't stay securely on wall. Also, instructions are spotty and difficult to follow. And, no owners manual on-line. Why not??

The room temperature indication does not change - room temperature was reduced from 75 degrees to 72 degrees but the thermostat continued to indicate 75 degrees. I had to set the set point temperature up to 75 degrees to stop the cooling.
