    I had my husband put this thermostat in 2years ago and for the past 30 days the inspector said that the item went bad. I'm replacing it with the model 40137. Lets see what happens, that model has gotten bad reviews.

    don't buy

    I got this last summer along with the remote, which was to read the temp.in another room. it never worked and now it has cut off on me twice. One morning it got down to 61 degrees in my house, suppose I was out of town? Piece of garbage

    ive had trouble with their fans and thermostats

    i tried to hook up a remote control for their fans ended up buying two because i thought it was defective. finally gave up. bought a 44155 thermostat and the read out has burned out

    Terrible, Terrible product

    Just like other comments - reset itself constantly. Bought a second one, thinking the first was defective....it was actually worse. I wish I had found these reviews before I purchased.

    Horrible

    This may be the Worst product I have ever spent my money on. I purchased this product one year ago. I estimate that I have had to reset the programming at least 48 times!!! In the last three days I have had to reprogram it EVERY night. The programming resets every night despite having a full charge/new batteries. Can not wait to replace this with a better product!!

    This unit is not user friendly. This unit is too difficult to install. We have had professionals over several times with this thermostat. They say it is not the furnace. It is the thermostat. We smelled smoke and the thermostat was reading 90. Yes cuz it was melting. It could have burnt down the house. Do not buy this product. It has caused us a fortune.

    Installation of this product was practically impossible!! It couldn't have been more clearer if it were written in braille!!! Need better instructions!

    I purchased this unit to replace the older programmable unit I already had. After installing the unit I found the heating and air system was not responding to my entered settings. I also learned that after pushing a few wrong buttons that I may have caused the unit to respond incorrectly. After day three and still not able to tell what program I was in or why my unit would only heat my home to 90 degrees, I came to the conclusion that this was not a very user friendly device. The Auto feature would cool the house very well, so I am very confident the unit will work well when summer time gets here.     not worth it

    I purchased this item in July 2010 and started to experience problems with my furnace continually clicking on and off in January 2011 had to have a service call on a sunday for a heating company because my furnace would not come on & they said my furnace was fine it was the thermostat which had corrosion on the circiut board & that it was a bad thermostat that needed to be replaced immediately! Tried to call customer service, on hold for 20 min & when I picked 2 to leave a message it said "Sorry your message can not be placed at this time, goodby." If I do not get this matter resolved I will report this to the Better Business Burea!

    I have two Hunter 44660 Thermostats and have tried resetting the filter alert and have been unable to do so. I have followed the manual instruictions, I have reset to default and then reprogrammed, I have removed power and batteries to no aval and can not get any help to resolve. Both thermostats occassionally must be reprogrammed to include time/date due to what can only be considered a memory dump. I consider both of these items as design flaws!

    I can't agree with the other reviews. It took ten minutes to install, and it took another 10 minutes to program. The instructions are easy to follow. What I really like is the remote room sensor, I placed it in the master bedroom as it is on the 2nd floor and it is warmer in there than the location of the thermostat, so the temp. is set by the sensor which is great. Another great feature is the auto system mode. I have been looking for one of these for years in a programmable format. Finally, Hunter did it, and I love it. Just set it and forget it! I would definately recommend this to everybody. Thumbs up!

    I think this is the worst programmable thermostat on the market. It may only take you thirty minutes to install but, you'll spend the next three days trying to program the thing. Very poor directions.

    Bad instructions| Seems to be a good product but the instructions are bad. The most important part - the wiring - is a mess. I had to go to this website for help. Once I fugured that out - I am very happy.
