    Do Not Buy!

Purchased a house with three of these installed. Had a storm and a blade was broken. Called Hunter and was told that they did not have any of these blades and didn't know when they would get any. I was then told to check back in a couple of weeks, or I could just buy a new replacement fan.

    Quiet but Discoloring?

I respect Hunter fans, and they are always my first choice. We installed the Mariner in the Summer of 2010 in an outside covered porch that is open to the air but no direct sunlight six miles from the Gulf beaches in Englewood, FL. The porch is open on the North, West, and East sides. Southern winter sun does not hit the fan. This year (Summer 2011) we noticed the white blades still look great, but the body, fan feet (which screw into the body), drop bar, etc. are all yellowing somewhat. Not TERRIBLE yet, but the white blades certainly stand out as WHITE and the rest of the fan looks almost light almond. I was somewhat surprised. I know the gulf air is hard on things, but we're six miles from the coast...not

Very quite dependable and sharp looking fan

I bought two of these fans and they are very good looking fans and really quite. I would recommend these to all.

Bad quality control / Bad paint job

Paint peeled off one of the two fans I bought. I called support and was given the run around. It is suppose to have a limited lifetime warranty but Hunter will not make good on it.
