We purchased two fans for our new home. The one by Harbor Breeze was so easy to put together, and was so well made. This one, by Hunter (supposedly the best name in fans) was AWFUL!! A total nightmare to put together!! The lampshades are very chincy, and one shade would not push down far enough to screw in the light bulb. The blades were all beat up and dented. We are thinking about returning it, but are we are too sick of spending hours on the $200 piece of junk to take it down.
I just got this fan for my cabin and it looks great! the only problem was I had to get 3 fans before I got one that worked. The first fan made a horrible sound like it was going to blow up. The second fan's blades all looked like they came out of the garbage, and the fan had a stripped bolt hole for one of the blades. The 3 rd fan was a charm but makes a little loud humming sound that I could live with. In all, this has been a very frusting experince and wasted over 10 hrs of my time. Hunter needs to work on Quality Control! Let me remind you Hunter that this fan is $199.00, and not some cheap $59 fan.
We currently have 4 hunter fans installed in our home for over ten years and never had any probmels with t
Recently purchased this fan and two of the fan blade brackets had stripped holes for the screws. I know it has a lifetime warranty , but the fan has already been
mounted to the ceiling. We only purchase Hunter fans and have never had this happen. the serial # is 82393 . Thank you for your time. Cindy Gingras
Having successfully hung ceiling fans in the past, I bought the Adirondack at Lowe's for our cabin in the White Mountains. I had to make two trips back to Lowe's to exchange out defective parts. The pre-assembled mounting bracket was missing 1 of 4 screws; screw hole in switch cover was stripped; lamp shade coming apart. When I finally got the fan completed, the motor had a terrible hum on all speeds. Exchanged it for another unit which also had multiple problems so I had to return it too. Needless to say, after five trips to Lowe's and nothing to show for it, I'm done with Hunter.
Purchased this fan at local home improvement store. Installed the fan/lighting according to instructions included with fan. Did not work properly. I am a licensed electrician...checked all of the wiring and noticed that there was a crimp in the lighting housing unit that was packaged wrong. Took this fan back to the store, they replaced with same fan. Took this fan home and when I installed the fan, the lighting unit not only did not work, but flames shot from lighting unit. Called Hunter and that is when the troubles really began. I spoke with a "Technician" and was told there are problems with this fan, but they have fixed the problem and they would send me a new fan. Recvd new fan...same problem. Now trying to g
