    The fan comes on by itself off and on randomly through the day. I have 2 Hampton Bay fans with remotes that have NEVER given me 1 problem. Don't buy a Hunter fan or a Hunter remote. THEY ARE JUNK

    Remote Control -REALLY

    Have two of these Hunter fan light combinations, One remote turns on by itself, the other does not even work? No replacement parts on website?? REALLY Hunter? I would ask for any assistance possible. Will Hunter care? HD and Lowes don't.

    Not that bad

    I installed this unit myself just over a year ago, and up until a couple of days ago it has work fine. NO problems with either the Lights or the Fan. The Dimmer worked great the Fan control worked Great as well. Now unfortunately the receiver has died and the lights flash and go off and don't dim properly. I have removed the receiver and restored it back to a normal ceiling fan again. Yes, this unit was installed in my Kitchen so it was in constant use every day. I guess judging by all the complaints on here I was one of the lucky ones. RG

    Remote control fan Help

    I have the same issues as everyone else. Whats the fix? Another remote? Buy a different controler? Throw it all away and buy a new fan? If the only thing I can do is throw it away just how much is Hunter going to reimburse me for all of this?

    DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

    If you have wi-fi or portable phones nearby, the fans/lights will activate at random. Poor product design. No filtering of other products using the 2.4 Ghz spectrum. The dip switch solution is useless.

    Ceiling Fan & Light Remote Control Model 27185

    I purchased two of these for very expensive fans on my front porch and they never worked the way they were described. Finally, yesterday, I removed the receiver from one of the fans because it hadn't worked in 2 months. I give it a: "-1."

    Comes on at random times and burns out the bulbs. The fan comes on high whenever a cop drives by. Should be banned by the FCC Other wise it is a very nice fan and if you live in the country it will probably work OK for you...

    Terrible Product and Service

    Bought this unit from HD. Same problems as the other post. Light turns on and off by itself. Tried different codes with no resolution. Made mulitple calls to Hunter and the technical support line does not like to pick up the phone. Sat on hold for 30-40 min with no help multiple times. The Tech Support Line should answer 7-7CST. Either their products are that bad and they are getting alot of calls or they are in the back eating donuts. Taking the unit back to HD and will not buy another Hunter Product. Stick with Hampton Bay. Their remote units are working just fine in my house.

    It's Crap

    Stopped working for no reason. Turns on the light just fine. Nothing turns on the fan. I tried every superstitous trick I know, and nothing will helps getting the fan to work. any suggestions? this this is $75 dollars it is of no value after only one year... andn the fan and remote were installed professionally.

    Problems

    We are having the same problems with our hunter fan and remote. The light will not stay on/off constantly it will randomly turn on and off. I'm looking for some trouble shooting ideas. Don't want to have to buy a new remote and fan.

    Fan speed control buttons never worked only the large light on/off button works. Also will not dim properly with new energy efficient bulbs. Not sure if this is due to the bulb type or if the output voltage isn't correct. Either way it should be mentioned.

    Bad product

    Fan and/or light comes on at random times due to interference from other electronic devices that use the same frequencies. Different channel settings make no difference. Very dangerous if it comes on while you are dusting it or changing a light bulb. Dropped the remote and now nothing works. Taking it back for a refund.

    uncontrolled light turn on. | Light goes on without the remote activated. Light goes on even when the remote has the battery removed. So, therefore the light control for the unit is defective. Generally if the fan runs on low speed for 4-6 hrs, the light turns on. I would not buy this unit again, cant afford the cost of having some one replace the remote unit at the 14' high ceiling !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Not Happy| Fan turns by itself at night, light dose the same. Changed the dip switches to every way I could think and it still happens. I think I will try another brand.
