Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does the Total Air Sanitizer work?

The Total Air Sanitizer uses an electrified HEPA filter that captures particles in the randomly arranged fibers tight enough to trap irritants, but allow air through. These captured allergens are kept from recirculating into the air you breathe. Living biological pollutants--germs, viruses, bacteria and molds--are killed by 9000 volts of safely-applied electrical currents running through the fibers. So what gets captured, gets killed--improving the quality of the air you breathe.

  • What is the difference between an air sanitizer and an air purifier?

Air purifiers only capture pathogens. The Total Air Sanitizer captures indoor pollutants and irritants and effectively kills them.

  • Do I need more than one Total Air Sanitizer in my home?

Total Air Sanitizer is independently certified for rooms up to 26' x 30'. Consider rooms in your home where you spend a lot of time - the bedroom, the family room, the kitchen. While you could move Total Air Sanitizer back and forth between those rooms, having a Total Air Sanitizer in each room provides air sterilization 24/7.

Replacement filters can be purchased easily online. To make it easy for you to know when it's ready for a new filter, the Total Air Sanitizer features a Filter Indicator light visible by the speed control knob that will flash red as a reminder to change the filter after around 4,000 hours of use. Each unit comes with a detailed owner's manual with more information about filter replacement.

  • What type of filter does the Total Air Sanitizer use?

An electrified HEPA Filter. "HEPA" stands for "High Efficiency Particle Arresting", and it's the premium standard for air filtration in the 21st century.

  • What is so great about a HEPA filter?
