Program Manager - Engineering

Position will be responsible for managing the design, and development of new and existing products. This position will be responsible for all engineering activities and work closely with Asian manufacturing suppliers to launch new or modified ODM products into mass production, with emphasis on innovation, meeting cost, quality & time to market targets.


  • Provide project management & technical leadership within a cross-functional team interactions & Asian manufacturing partners
  • Report on the status of projects as to the completion of schedules, costs, non-conformances and risk analysis
  • Conduct feasibility assessments, to ensure product safety, reliability and agency compliance requirements
  • Coordinate design efforts and work with suppliers to launch new products or modified existing products into production
  • Design products while maintaining cost, schedule, marketing, high quality, safety, and agency compliance requirements
  • Conduct design reviews, written and verbal project updates, off-tool sample and/or prototype construction reviews
  • Support engineering product maintenance, improvement, and cost reductions through ECN process and design FMEA’s
  • Assist in quotation activities from initial offer to engineering changes on development projects and engineering changes on existing projects
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned


  • BSME or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in product development.
  • Experience in designing components for the following processes: Sheet-metal stampings and fabrication, plastic injection molding, die-cast, automated machining, and assembly process


  • Six Sigma and lean manufacturing is preferred(but not required)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management experience in the consumer product industry using the latest tools and techniques required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, MS Project
  • Must strive to complete tasks correctly the first time
  • Creative both in design and organizational skills
  • Ability to cope with constant changes is marketing priorities and product requirements
  • Must take personal pride in the responsibility for their products and projects
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Comfortable working alone and/or in a team environment
  • Willing to take the initiative to correct issues
  • Willing to take charge of situations to make sure the project or task is getting completed correctly and on time
  • Must be pro-active in nature to prevent potential problems with designs and scheduling
  • Exceptional collaborative, teaming and consensus building abilities, as well as proficiency in cross-discipline, cross-organization and cross-product group cooperation
  • Must be self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Must be dedicated, pay attention to details and possess  excellent organizational skills
