Great looking fan...dead remote?
My wife and I decided to redecorate our bedroom earlier this year and purchased this fan. Yeah, it's big for a bedroom but I love having a lot of air flow when I'm trying to sleep. The light is a little lower than we'd prefer but it's certainly not a deal breaker. However, after 6-7 months of use, the remote seems to have stopped working - no light, no turning blades. I'm curious to know if there is a way to determine if it's actually the remote itself or the receiver that is acting up. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Worked fine until we got back from a 4-day trip...
My brother and I installed this fan to replace an older Hunter that came with this house when we bought it 16 years ago, so I bet the Hunter we replaced was in the 25+ years range, perhaps older. Since Easter it's been off and on, but mostly on most of the time as we live in the southeast. I usually turn off all appliances before taking trips, but Ieft the fan on for our July 4th trip. When we returned 4 days later it had stopped running. I turned the wall switch off, then the next day I tried it again and it worked for 5 minutes. That's all it does now, work for 5 minutes. I googled the problem and would like some instruction on how to reset the DIP to a unique setting, as it might be my neighbor's fan(s) that's causing the problem. I'm going to contact Hunter support for that.
Oh, and the light? It's in our TV room, so we like the low light from the ceiling. We use lamps for things like reading, anyway...

Problems with random shutdown
Worked great for a few months, however started having problems with it arbitrarily shutting down for no reason. The fan and light randomly power off by themselves and will not respond to the remote to power back on. A flip of the light switch is required to clear the problem and restore power. Totally unacceptable, a major miss in quality control. We own two other Hunter fans that look great and work flawlessly, aside from the looks, this one is a major disappointment. Hoping Hunter has a quick and easy solution so we can give a more positive review.

hunter fan 59039
I am from Canada and I order my fan hunter 59039 from Amazon.ca who is dealing with Myltgsource in USA. I order my fan april 10,2016 and I received it May 9 2016. I did the installation May 11, 2016 and it was OK .The only problem is the glass globe,It's broken (crack). I don't know how to get a replacement because I am in Canada and the fan is coming from the USA.

Two days ago we hung our new Windemere ceiling fan. I love the design and the look. I am however not thrilled with the light that it produces. I was just about to purchase different bulbs and decided to see if there were any suggestions on your site. From the reviews I see that I'm not the only one with this concern.
I am hoping that Hunter has developed a viable solution or suggestion to remedy this issue. I look forward to hear from you on what the next step is.

2 Months old and died
I bought the fan 11/7/2015 and find out the fan stopped working. Turned power off at wall switch, and fan starts again after a few minutes of being off. Now it stops again. Worst part is while there is a warranty, nobody keeps receipts when everything else is electronic. So unless Hunter wants to assist, I am out $221.51 dollars and will end up going back to a hampton breeze with pull chains.

Great low profile fan
Great low profile fan. The dimmer light provides plenty of light. I've had this fan for about a year and have had no issues. Moves air good too.
Only complaint would be the reverse blade switch being inside the light. Makes switch kind of annoying. Other than that it is exactly what I needed.

Blind light even for very small room
I selected this fan because of modern design. However I have same opinion as above review. First and most importantly, the light of this fan is the worst ever and even if I have it on the brightest of the dimmer switch, it provides a blinding light at night. My smartphone light is way better than light of this fan. I need another stand lamp to bright my room with it. I asked Hunter for solution and got an answer to change with 60w bulbs. I replaced with 2 60 w bulbs with same size but those had gone within 1 minute because of the heat. Hunter recommended me to use LED 60w bulbs. I spent more than 3 hours to find the same size of 60w bulbs in the market but I couldn’t find. Size of the LED bulb(Even though Candelabra socket, Bigger diameter and longer length) couldn’t fit with this model. Please let me know the exact model name and company of 60w LED bulb fitting your fan.

Fan Looks Great, but Light is way too Low
Like many other customers, I have to agree that the light that is produced from this fan is way too low, even with the dimmer on it's highest setting. If there is any options to improve this problem, I would love to know it....

The WORST Lighting on any FAN!
As a loyal Hunter/Hunter Douglas customer who installs 7+ fans in my residence and Hunter Fans in my rentals who refused to purchase Hampton Bay or Harbor Breeze, I think I will reconsider those other brands. First and most importantly, the light on this fan is the worst ever and even if I have it on the brightest of the dimmer switch, it provides a blinding light at night. My iPHONE 6 provides more lighting in my rooms. I made the mistake of buying two of these and they are in place and installed. I did see another review recommending switching out the frosted bulbs with clear ones and will be doing that today. I contacted Hunter Customer Service today and asked with the number of complaints on the lighting if Hunter would be creating perhaps a clear light casing versus the frosted and was told this is just the way they come and that there were no plans to rectify this failure of lighting design. Very bad customer service! The second issue is that the first speed provides no air flow at all but speed 2 and 3 are good so 1 is absolutely useless. EPIC FAIL by Hunter and the worst part is they do not care to remediate the problem with their frosted lighting bulbs and kits. Hunter, you lost a loyal customer!
