Lifetime Warranty is LIMITED

We purchased this fan (4) for our front and back porches. They are less than 6 years old and 2 have developed major corrosion on the blade arms. In a recent storm with fairly strong winds one of them became a mess. I was so happy to have bought a "Lifetime Warranty" fan. Not so. Only the motor has a lifetime warranty. So, I am on my own to replace the fans, because the blades are not available from Hunter. Because of my problem, Hunter gave me this website to shop at. Home Depot has basically the same price as this special webpage, with no shipping charge to our front door. It will also be at our door tomorrow (ordered today). We are replacing the 2 bad fans, but are pretty disappointed in the "Lifetime Warranty" aspect. An outdoor fan should not be made of a metal that corrodes under heavy paint.

Cut Sheets/ Submittals

It would be nice if you had submittal sheets on your fans.

hunter outdoor fans suck

The irons on this fan are made of cast aluminum and they break every time the wind blows. I've had 2 of them for 9 months and have only only been able to use them a few times. 9 different irons have broken off when the wind blows. Last time they were on back order for a month. This time I'm taking it down and buying a different brand.

After talking to someone different at customer service they decided to replace both fans. I have installed the new fans on my deck and we have had one storm since then. I'm glad to say they both survived. I hope this is a sign that they will last. The first time they didn't last past the first week.
