This is my second attempt to get help. I am insulted that my first communication to you generated nothing more than email with instructions taken from troubleshooting in my owners manual. My fan doesn't work. It has been used very little since I bought it in Nov 2014. Several technicians have worked on it. It starts up but dies again after less than 30 minutes. I want to return it for a complete refund.

So, I've read the reviews on these fans, and HomeDepot backs the quality of Hunter and so does the licensed electrician that helped me with the wiring(that was my only complaint, it was a bit complex) so I'm confident that it will hold up well. So far, I've had the fan, installed it myself with the help of a licensed electrician with the wiring, and the fan is awesome! Looks great, super quiet, and makes the room a lot more comfortable. Love my Hunter!

This fan and light have been collecting dust in our living room for over a year. As summer approaches again, we would like to have a fan in our main living space. We originally thought the issue was the battery on the remote, or an electrical issue, but it turns out, it's just the fan. Not sure how we go about getting this fixed/replaced, but we will never be purchasing a Hunter fan again. Our Hampton Bay fan in our bedroom works perfectly. Comparing review online of this model, it looks like we are not the only ones with this issue. Steer clear of this fan!

Nothing but problems
I have two of these fans installed in separate bedrooms. Within hours both stopped working. The fans were on at the time and they turned themselves off and would not turn on. It appears as the remote receiver is the problem. If I turn the power off to the fan for a short while then re sync the remote it works again but only for a short period of time. If I wire the fan without the receiver it works great there but there is only one speed. Both fans did this and HD gave me a replacement receiver and it does the same thing. I have also had an electrician look at it and they said it was the receiver as well. He told me to put the old fas back up and throw the Hunters in the trash. I spent the extra money on Hunter because of the looks and reliablaity and these fans have been an absolute nightmare. I couldn't imagen something as simple as a ceiling fan would be such a problem. I should have purchased the cheaper brand .

Fairhaven Fan with remote
The fan is working very well, and is very quiet. We have had this fan for only 2 weeks. We are disappointed with the lighting being too dim.The issue is we are having is with the light, as it is not bright enough and it's not easy to get the dimmer remote to the brightest level. Can we use brighter bulbs than came with the fan/light?

Fair haven issue
have spent three hours trying to hang this fan only to find a problem with either the remote receiver, or the motor. Very disappointed with the quality and instructions. Bought the fan for its looks, but put up a Hampton Bay fan in a half hour with easy install blades. Great instructions....a real pleasure.
The Hunter? A nightmare. Instructions are horrible. Have to put your own grommets into blades. Really? Instructions tell you to get a friend to put I. Grommets while you keep installing. Haha. Will be returning this tomorrow

I have had issues w/ the fans receiver a couple of times now and have only owned the fan for 2 yrs. or less. Hunter is unwilling to replace the part a second time so I will be returning the fan to HD. I have never known hunter fans to have these kinds of problems in such short of time. Obviously it is a manufacturer issue. It is bad enough we have to take fan down to replace the part, but now have to pay too. Good luck if you actually buy a fan from hunter.

Bought 3 fans from Hunter and now the 3rd receiver on 3rd fan has went bad. We do not use the fan excessively and should not have this issue. In the past I have owned other ceiling fans w/ remotes for many years and have never had this problem. Hunter knows this was a defect because they have since changed the receiver but I am stuck w/ their bad! Instead of stepping up and correcting the issue, they want to charge me 50.00 for the part and then I still have to install. I am very disappointed in Hunter!
