I have 2 fans, they each have a remote, thank goodness they are both the same model. The remotes are only 18 months old and one does not work!!!! It sits on my night table day/night and has never been dropped/moved much. I paired the working one to both fans, but what I do to one fan it does to the other in the opposite room. Do you think I could just buy a new remote or have them try to repair the one not working? Nope, that would be too easy. I have to buy the remote with the receiver for $92, no thank you!!!! I will use 1 remote for both fans now, how annoying.

We installed our Hunter fan (preferring Hunter to other brands) with a remote control and it worked--once. We left for vacation and came back--nothing. I had to pry open the battery compartment to get to the battery--took a long time. Now what do I do? Buy a battery for a new fan?

The fan is great until the remote doesn't work
this fan is fine and the remote is good until it stops working and you need to speak with someone from customer service. the company's technical hotline is a joke. it literally is a series of pre-recorded sales pitches which sounds like a scam. if you call the nummber on the sight you have no shot at talking to a real person and the whole customer service experience has just been horrible. the switch on the wall doesn't work when you have the remote so now there is essentially no light or fan in my room.
